Recently Rafay was working with Canadian broadcast and television industry on focusing on promoting Princess Margaret Cancer Research fund raising program for cancer patients. Apart from being a filmmaker, Rafay has also done digital PR and marketing for feature films (Parwaaz Hai Junoon & Superstar for HUM Films) focusing on territories that include Canada, China and Pakistan. Rafay has also contested for general elections for Member of the Parliament for the provincial assembly of Sindh, Pakistan. Rafay was also the producer of the first ever Pakistan International Film Festival which exhibited more than 50 films and catered to filmmakers from U.S.A, South East Asia, India.
